Legal Advice/Help

bendThis is a call out to any attorney that may happen upon this site. Do we as tenets of the Wilmont have any recourse on having our lease terminated? We fulfilled our contractual duties yet we have had our lease terminated and we are expected to move. Is there any way to get damages from V G Murry and or David House? Maybe a few bucks for a U-Haul, anything really. Two weeks is hardly enough time for most people to gather the money required to pay for the administrative fee, application fee, and other random fees that need to be paid in order to secure a lease on a new place? Or do we just have to bend over and take it?

This may seem obvious, but have you called Legal Aid of North Carolina? They represent low income clients in civil actions. Your situation may not be curable with legal assistance but if there is any help available, it sounds like you need it fast. Perhaps a fast temporary injunction could postpone your eviction to give you guys some more time to find places to live. Or maybe there is even more you could get.

I live in the Wilmont and have for over 6 years. I am in C6 if you have questions and there is something brewing but I do not want to disclose any information on here. Come by my place or by C5 (Roger) for more info.
